International Women's Day

International Women's Day
Swamini Pramananda, Meditation in the Shinnyo-en Garden, Kyoto, Japan
On International Women's Day, it is important to remember and celebrate not only the contributions of women all over the world and in every aspect of life, but also to honor the sacred feminine, that creative and nurturing power which makes all possible, which supports and enables the flourishing of life.

Over our two decades of work, GPIW has sought both to create a global platform for women and to seek balance between the sacred feminine and masculine energies, both much needed for the wellbeing of our world. One cannot fulfill its role without the other. Now in this time of transition, when the task before us is inner and outer healing, it is more critical than ever to awaken within us the higher feminine and masculine attributes through our spiritual practices -- compassion and courage, endurance and fearlessness, love and wisdom, the intuitive faculty and the enlightened mind.

Over the years thousands of women and men from all corners of the world have gathered with us to support our work. To them, we offer our deepest gratitude.

And we offer our love and gratitude to the Divine One whom we serve.
