The Global Peace Initiative of Women brought together women religious and spiritual leaders to to explore how they could contribute to reconciliation and healing in areas of conflict and tension. Held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva between Oct 6-9 2002, this meeting brought together over 600 women from over 70 countries - thus was born the Global Peace Initiative of Women.
